New Work: Silverton

Silverton is what now remains from a once booming silver and gold mining site that sits at an elevation of 9,300 feet in the southwestern Colorado Rockies and that once had a population of about 6000. Now it's tourism along with highway maintenance, mine pollution remediation and some extreme skiing that maintains the about 600 souls that live here year round. Have a look!
